♪♪♪ DIY BB CUSHION MAKE UP ♪♪♪

Oh Hello Blog-O-World!

I've so stressed out lately. New tasks assigned on my current job and finances (which is not new to me). I've been battling out depression for months now and I just want to do something different to help me veer away from my real world problems.

Since I'm on a tight budget for the coming months and probably years, I want to venture out and create some DIY makeups. I have been in love on using my MISSHA cushion makeup but sad to say, I already finished it. The cushion is now dried up. If you are a beauty lover as I am, you know how it feels to finish a product that you absolutely enjoy using. The refills of any cushion makeup can be expensive so I decided to use what I currently have and create a cushion make up of my own.

Things That You Need:

1. a moisturizer that you are currently using
2. base make ups that you have in your vanity. I will mix 2 bb creams to create my perfect shade.

3. Tweezer
4. Q-tip to mix all products
5. A spatula or anything to dispense product from a tub

6. An empty cushion case. I'm not sure if this would be available in stores but I will be using my Missha cushion case and just clean the cushion/sponge inside and voila! you have your own empty cushion case.

As you noticed the sponge has some residue but I can guarantee you that I cleaned it using a dishwashing soap and sanitized it with alcohol to make it brand spanking new.

Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1 and/or 2: Since I will be using 2 BB creams for this, just place the lightest color first then the darker color after. The amount of product would depend on how thick or thin you prefer your cushion to be.

Step 3: Use a Q-tip to mix the BB creams
Step 4: Since my moisturizer comes in a tub, use a spatula to grab the product and at it to the BB mixture.

Step 5 and 6: Test your mixture and add more BB cream or moisturizer to achieve the desired color and moisture.
Step 7: Once happy with the mixture, place the cushion/sponge on the case using a tweezer and gently push the cushion/sponge for the mixture to be absorbed. Once done, just clean the edges with a tissue.

And now YOU ARE DONE!

I like how the cushion make up turned out. I created a customized shade that is perfect for my skin color and by adding the moisturizer, it helps heal my dry patches while applying the cushion make up. Since I used what I already have, it did not falter on buying anything at all.

You can always add sunscreen for added SPF or even liquid highlighter for a luminous finish. What's amazing about doing this is that you have endless possibilities and combinations that you could do that depends on what you want to achieve.

Just a gentle reminder, DO NOT throw away your empty cushion case because you can easily save money by doing this DIY cushion make up.

Hope you like this and I'll definitely do more DIYs in the next posts to come.

Stay Awesome,
