Oh Hello Blog-O-World!
I've been seeing a lot of blog posts and youtube videos about Essence make ups and on how affordable they are. I agree that they are quite affordable for an international brand selling here in the Philippines. Normally, cosmetic brands bring the prices up compared to what they actually retailed.
I've been intrigued with their eyeshadows since I've heard really good reviews about them. Since they were on sale, I took this opportunity to try their eyeliner as well since I'm kinda in a rut of using just your typical black eyeliner.
I only got 2 shades of their eyeshadow just to test them out and see if this is worth the price. For the eyeliner on the other hand, I was planning to get only one but I ended up buying 3 (girl problems!).
Packaging is what you pay for. Nothing fancy and feels a bit cheap but it doesn't bother me at all. The amount of the product, however, is way more than it's price. This bigger than an Etude House single eyeshadow which is a bit expensive than this.
Strawberry Ice cream - pink shade
Copper Island - bronze shade
The eyeshadows are very smooth to the touch. These a quite pigmented even without a primer underneath. The swatches above does not have any primer but if you use any eye primer, the pigmentation would more opaque that what you can see here.

#15 Behind the Scenes
#23 Love Me Lavender
#23 Pretty in Fuchsia
All of the colors are glides smoothly on your eyes. These are creamy and easy to use when applying on the eyes. The colors are opaque without any use of an eye primer.
One thing the you need to consider is that since these are so creamy, it smudges the heck out of my waterline. I can't even use it as a liner on my upper lash line. I prefer to use this as a base on my eyeshadow and that is pretty much it.
Overall: The eyeshadows are definitely worth to try. I think I bough it for about 75 pesos each when they were on sale. The eyeliners on the other hand are not something that you would need to try not unless you just want to test it out. These are only 50 pesos each during their sale but I don't recommend them at all.
Do you have any Essence product recommendations? I'd like to know that you think.
Stay Awesome,
