Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil in Deep Moisture Review

Oh Hello Blog-O-World!

I have used a cleansing oil from the past which was Human Nature's Sunflower Cleansing Oil. I was really impressed on how oil works on removing any gunk on face. Since I emptied 200ml bottle of it, I want to try something new. I've been always so intrigued and just wanting to try the Shu Uemura cleansing oil but, of course, the price does not fit on my almost empty wallet.

I've been reading a lot of blogs that recommends Etude House's Real Art Cleansing Oil. At the time that I went to their Fairview branch, they only have 2 types, light and deep moisture (the 3rd type is moisture). I decided to purchase the deep moisture type since I've been having a dry skin type of month.

It comes in a yellow plastic box and the bottle itself is clear so you can see how much product you still have. The pump comes separately. You can use the pump at home or the cap for travelling which I did not realize until I threw the cap away.

The oil is quite thin in texture which is a breeze on massaging on the face. Its spreads easily on the skin and has a nice citrus scent which is I'm a big fan of. I also noticed that upon using it, my skin felt really soft.

I did use a variety of makeup products that I usually use to test how effective it is.

Upon spreading the oil, it seems like the eyeliner and lip tint is not completey removed.

I did not rinse my arm with water, instead I used a cheap baby wipes and try if all makeup will be removed. But as you can see, the lip tint is still noticeable on my arm.

Thoughts: This oil is great for removing face makeup. I just don't recommend using this on my eye area especially when I have a waterproof mascara on. Also, every time I tried using this to remove my eye makeup, the oil kept on getting on my eyeballs. I'm not sure if this usually happens when using oils on your eye area but I prefer using a separate makeup remover to remove the gunk on my eyes.

Verdict: I'll definitely purchase this again. I love the non-greasy feeling that you get after rinsing it with soap and water. The scent is quite nice and I love massaging this on my face. For 678 pesos, this is worth a try. I've been using this for a month and I did not break out on this even once.

Check Etude House Philippines Facebook page for any upcoming products.

What do you think? Have you tried cleansing oils?

Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint Mini in #12

Oh Hello Blog-O-World!

I'm in a Tint-Craze lately. I have neglected my lipsticks and been rummaging my stash of lip tints. I'm in a mood of a no-fuss makeup look since I've been too lazy to bother thinking on what lipstick to use. I just want to share my thoughts on this new (new to me, I guess) lip tint that I'm using for this month.

Etude House is a cult favorite korean brand and their Color Pop tints are adorable. These were release I think 1-2 years ago (not really sure) as part of their summer collection and they eventually expanded their color selection.

Information
Brand: Etude House
Product Name: Color Pop Shine Tint Mini
Color: #12 Burgundy Pop
Weight: 12g
Price: 148 pesos

*source: google images

Packaging is really cute. I can fit this inside my pocket or even my coin purse.

See how it fits in the my hands. It has a lipgloss-type of applicator which really easy to use. Application is a breeze and base on my experience, I can apply this tint without a mirror.

Based on their website, it claims that it is a 3 in 1 magic tint that is light as tint, moisturized as gloss and vivid as a lipstick. I agree that it is light on the lips and once applied it has a glossy finish which helps on providing moisture at the same time.

Upon application, it is very pigmented but after 30 mins. the color fades. Honestly, I don't mind because I just want to add a simple pop of color on my lips without being too bold. I also noticed that it is a bit sticky which is a good thing because it helps on the prevention of dry lips.

Overall: I recommend this product for those who are on a budget and wants to try a berry-type of lip product. If you are not comfortable on sticky lip tints, then you might veer away from this. What I notice on the Etude House store is that they only have limited color selection and I don't see the full size version of this specific color.

Are you a lip tint or lipstick kinda girl?

Unboxing: March BDJ x Pond's Exclusive Box

Oh Hello Blog-o-World!

I have been so anxious to receive my first BDJ box this year. I was not able to subscribe for their Jan-Feb box but I don't mind. Main reason why I've been agitated on this month's box is that I'm almost done with my daily skincare products and I want to try something different.
Well, not really different per say. I've used a couple of products before during my teenage years.  The month's theme is "The Secret to Flawless, Radiant Skin"

This month's box is bigger that I usually receive and because of the size, well, I'm expecting for all FULL sized products.

Taaddaaahhh!!! All full sizes indeed. Upon seeing all of these, I can't stop smiling because just by looking at it, I definitely felt that I got my money's worth. I'm still searching for the best skincare routine and this is worth a shot since I know that I don't breakout from using Pond's products.

Pond's Flawless White BB+ Cream 2g in Light and Beige - 299 pesos each
I'm a BB and CC cream enthusiast and this is definitely something that I would absolutely try.

Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel 100g - 155 pesos (the mini size is a free gift)
I'm currently using a foaming cleanser from Etude house and once I'm done, at least I have a spare.

Pond's Flawless White Dewy Rose Gel 50g - 399 pesos
Pond's Flawless White Re-Brightening Night Cream 50g - 340 pesos
So excited to try this combination. Since summer is right around the corner, this is the perfect moisturizer that is worth to try.

Pond's Flawless White Ultra Luminous Serum 30ml - 480 pesos
I haven't tried serums before, so this is a start.

Overall: BDJ box did not fail to provide an awesome box this month. You get a total of 1972 pesos worth of products plus a free gift for just paying 580 pesos. I can't wait to receive another box from them. The only downside is that you have to make sure to check for updates since they only have limited slots every month.

You may check their Facebook page and website for daily updates.

Unboxing: GLAMOURBOX Eyes of Horus Special Edition Box

Oh Hello Blog-O-World!

Subscription boxes are quite popular these days. You could try out skincare or makeup products before buying it on full size. But of all the subscription boxes that I have tried, this is one of my FAVORITE.

What is Glamourbox?

Glamourbox, Inc. is the Philippines leading discovery commerce platform. We are reshaping the retail process by offering consumers a unique way to discover, learn about, and shop for the best beauty and lifestyle products on the market. (taken from http://glamourbox.ph)

One thing to keep in mind on this subscription box is that they don't offer monthly plan which means that you get a certain box every month. They only offer it once in a while so you have to check their Facebook account for an upcoming box.

Enough said, last February they released another special edition box called "Eye Love It" which contains all full size products from "Eye of Horus". I only found this brand through glamourbox since the previous boxes that they sent includes a mascara and eyeliner from this brand.

The box is smaller than what they usually send but I don't mind. It feels eco-friendly but I'm not sure if this was made entirely from recycled papers.

As usual, they include an information card about every product inside the box. This includes the price and details of each item so in the event that you liked the product, you know how much it will cost.

The first item that caught my attention is the "Goddess Mascara" and I cannot believe that they included this because it cost Php 990 which is a great steal.

Eyes of  Horus Goddess Mascara - Php 990
Eyes of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil - Php 990
Eyes of Horus Sharpener - Php 295
Eyes of Horus Ankh Necklace - Php 580
Eyes of Horus Facial Bamboo Mitt - Php 480
Total Cost - Php 3335

Verdict: AMAZING! The mascara alone cost Php 990 and I only paid Php 695 for this box. I know I would like the mascara but I'm feeling hopeful for the eyeliner. This is the main reason that I love Glamourbox becuase they make sure that you get your money's worth.

You may check their link below and be sure to like their Facebook page to find out if they would come up with another box.

Have you tried their boxes?

♔♔♔ SAGADA FOOD GUIDE: Gaia Cafe & Crafts ♔♔♔

Oh Hello Blog-O-World!

Sagada has been the most popular tourist spot at this time of the year. A lot of my colleagues have been going to this place or even just broadcasting that they are planning to visit this place. The main reason behind the popularity of Sagada would be the movie "That Thing Called Tadhana". Honestly, I haven't seen the movie yet but based on the buzz of the people around, I'm tempted to watch it.

Enough blabbing and let me tell you my experience. I've been going back and forth in Sagada for the past 4 years and needless to say that I never get tired of being there. It is my yearly vow and will always be for the next few years.

The food there is amazing and I just discovered this restaurant that is for all those VEGETARIANS out there. The interior of the place is nice and the scenery behind this, is spectacular.

It seems just like an ordinary "Bahay Kubo" but you'll be amazed that there is a restaurant inside.

APPETIZERS!!!!

SALAD!!

I don't what we were thinking at that time but after that appetizers and salad, we still did not pass the chance to try their main courses.

The food are sourced locally so you would expect that the ingredients are all organic. You have to be patient on waiting for your order since they are doing everything from scratch. But honestly, I don't mind since the food that we ordered are really nice.

I highly recommend this restaurant and it is worth a try if you're in Sagada. You may visit their Facebook page for more details because they might update their contact information from time to time.
