As I mentioned on my Missha Cushion make up review, I'm in a base make up hunt lately. I just want to try different things on my face (hahaha!). I've use the regular Precious Mineral BB cream from Etude House years ago and well, it was not my favorite but it was an "OK" product.
So I decided to try another version on Etude House's Precious Mineral collection. I want to try a semi-matte finish since most of the BB creams I've tried have dewy finishes which quite popular among korean women as it makes your skin look healthy.
Information
Product Name: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Perfect Fit SPF30 PA++
Color: Natural Beige W13
Weight: 60g
Whitening, Anti-Wrinkle and Anti-Darkening
I haven't used this BB cream constantly for 1 month, so I haven't seen any difference on my acne spots and some discoloration on my cheek area.
I love that it has a pump that it is very hygienic to use. You don't need to worry about bacteria going into the product itself but just a precaution, wipe the pump from time to time. The pump also works well for controlling the amount so you don't waste anything.
The packaging is just similar as the original Precious Mineral BB cream. It comes in a somewhat dirty or beige-white squeezy tube type of packing. Very simple yet I do appreciate simplicity.
I find the texture of this cream to be a bit mousy (if that is the right term). It is not watery yet it is not tacky at all. That amount seen above is just half a pump but I suggest use one full pump to cover the entire face. I noticed that this is a bit harder to blend than most BB creams that I've tried. You need to blend it immediately after dotting it on your face as well as it sets quite quickly. It does have a semi-dewy finish (not semi-matte as it is not matte at all). When I swatched it on the store, this was the only shade that they have that might suite my skin but turns out, it looks one shade lighter than my natural skin color.
I get a medium coverage with this but you can build it up to get a heavier coverage but it can get a bit cakey so one layer of this cream is enough. It has SPF 30 which is perfect if you are lazy to apply a suncreen but this is really not good to use at night during flash photography.
Overall: I would recommend this if you are new to the BB cream world and want to try a face product from Etude House. But, if you are like me and have tried a lot of BB creams, I don't think this would compare to the coverage and finish that I get from Missha's Perfect Cover BB cream (which I love!). You may want to try their original Precious Mineral BB cream or their cushion make up as, I think, it is better than this Perfect Fit BB cream.
Stay Awesome,
ShinAeYo
